Itinerary – 1-Night Camel Trek in Merzouga

Meeting & Preparation:
Your adventure begins at our Merzouga guesthouse, where you’ll leave your car and prepare your backpack with essentials such as water, sun protection, and a camera. The camel trek starts in the evening around 5–6 PM from the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, accompanied by an experienced camel driver who will guide your caravan and assist you during the journey.

Day 1 – Camel Ride, Sunset & Desert Camp:
The camel ride to the camp lasts approximately 1 hour, providing perfect opportunities for photos of the desert, camel caravan, and stunning sunset. Upon arrival at the Berber desert camp, you’ll be welcomed with mint tea and shown to your private tent.

You can explore the dunes, watch the sunset from the camp, or try sandboarding. Dinner will be served under the stars when weather permits, featuring a delicious Moroccan meal with fruits. Afterward, gather around the campfire for traditional Berber music, drumming, and dancing, while learning about nomadic Berber life.
