Later in the day, travel onward to Fes, where you will spend the night in a traditional riad.
Today you will discover the fascinating city of Fes on a full-day guided tour. As one of Morocco’s imperial cities and an important cultural and religious center, Fes is filled with remarkable historical landmarks.
Begin with a visit to the Royal Palace gate before entering the labyrinth of narrow streets in the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the tour you will visit important sites such as Al-Qarawiyyin University, Al-Attarine Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the Chouara Tanneries, each showcasing impressive architecture and craftsmanship.
You will also explore the Jewish quarter, known as the Mellah, where you can learn about the history of the Jewish community in the city. The tour concludes with a visit to an ancient fortress that offers panoramic views across the Medina and the entire city before returning to your riad.
After breakfast at your riad in Fes, depart south toward the Sahara Desert and the village of Merzouga. Along the way, stop in the town of Ifrane to enjoy its peaceful scenery.

Wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After breakfast, you may return from the camp by camel or travel by 4×4 vehicle to the town of Merzouga where your driver will meet you to continue the journey toward Dades Gorge.
During the drive, you will have the chance to visit several interesting locations, including the traditional market of Rissani if your visit falls on one of the market days (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday).
Next, enjoy a walk through the impressive Todra Gorge, where the Todra River flows between towering cliffs. Continue toward Dades Gorge, where you will see remarkable rock formations commonly referred to as “monkey fingers.”
Drive through the beautiful Dades Valley and admire panoramic views of the gorges before arriving at your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
