This 4-day journey from Fes to Marrakech offers an unforgettable introduction to Morocco’s diverse landscapes, blending mountains, desert scenery, and authentic cultural encounters. The adventure begins with a scenic drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, including a stop in Ifrane and a visit to the cedar forests near Azrou, home to Barbary macaques. Continuing through the palm-filled Ziz Valley, you will reach the gateway of the Sahara in Merzouga, where golden dunes create a spectacular desert setting.
During your stay in the desert, you will explore the region by visiting Khamlia to enjoy traditional Gnawa music, discovering the historic mining area of M’Fis, and meeting a nomadic family near the dunes of Erg Chebbi. The experience continues with a memorable camel trek and an overnight stay in a desert camp under the stars. The journey then leads through Rissani, Erfoud, and Tinghir to the dramatic cliffs of Todra Gorge and the beautiful Dades Gorge. Finally, the route passes through Ouarzazate and the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou before crossing the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech.
