Highlights of the Morocco itinerary 5 days
    Day 1: Casablanca ⇢ Chefchaouen

During your 5-day trip to Morocco, you will be met by a friendly local guide either at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca or at your hotel. After this you head North to the beautiful town of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains.

Upon arrival, check into your comfortable hotel/riad for your overnight stay. Once settled in you will have time to explore the town of Chefchaouen at your leisure. Chefchaouen is well known for its blue-washed buildings and serene ambiance. You can stroll through the narrow streets of the Medina, visit the vibrant local markets, or simply relax in a cosy café while tasting Moroccan food.

    Day 2: Chefchaouen ⇢ Fes

Fuel up with breakfast at your hotel or riad, then hit the road for Fes — Morocco’s storied imperial city.

Once you arrive, a local guide will be waiting to walk you through the winding alleys of the Medina, one of the best-preserved medieval quarters in the world. Between the maze-like streets, centuries-old architecture, and constant hum of daily life, it’s easy to lose track of time here. If you’re hungry, grab lunch right in the Medina.

By evening, you’ll check into a riad tucked into the heart of the old city. After a day of walking and exploring, it’s a welcome spot to slow down and soak in the quieter side of Fes.

Day 3: Fes ⇢ Ifrane ⇢ Middle Atlas Mountains ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Merzouga Desert

After you have breakfast at your riad in Fes you will start an amazing trip to the Sahara Desert and the village of Merzouga. You will drive to the town of Ifrane, which is a very nice place, and you can stop for a little while to look around and enjoy the quiet atmosphere.

Then you will keep driving across the Middle Atlas Mountains, which are very beautiful. You will stop in a forest with cedar trees where you can see Barbary apes living in the wild. After that, you will have lunch at a restaurant on the way before you continue your trip.

Later you will go through the Ziz Valley, which is known for its palm trees and desert gardens. You should take a minute to look at how pretty it’s before you keep going to the desert.

In the afternoon you will get to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will start your camel ride. You will ride your camel across the sand dunes. Stop at a high point to watch the sunset over the desert, which is really beautiful.

Then you will keep going with your camels to your luxury desert camp. When you get there, they will show you your tent where you can rest and clean up. In the evening you will have dinner, and then you will sit around a fire under the stars in the desert sky. You will listen to Berber music and drumming. You can even try playing the drums yourself, which will be a lot of fun and something you will remember.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert ⇢ Rissani ⇢ Todra Gorge ⇢ Dades Gorge

Waking up early offers a unique opportunity to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. The beauty of this moment is truly unforgettable. After enjoying a delightful breakfast, you can return to the village.

From Merzouga, your driver will take you on a scenic journey to Dades Gorge. Along the way, consider stopping at the vibrant market in Rissani, which is only open on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.then

Walk through the dramatic Todra Gorge. Continue along the Dades Valley, passing the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations, before settling into your hotel for the night.

Day 5: Dades Gorge ⇢ Ouarzazate ⇢ Ait Ben Haddou ⇢ High Atlas Mountains ⇢ Marrakech

Drive to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” with an optional stop at Atlas Studios. Then visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, featured in films like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. After lunch, cross the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech by late afternoon — marking the end of the tour.
