    Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Errachidia – Merzouga

On the first day of your 4-day desert tour, you will be picked up from Errachidia Airport (ERH) or your accommodation. From there, travel toward the Sahara dunes of Merzouga. Upon arrival, check in and spend the night in Merzouga.

Day 2: Explore Merzouga – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga Lake – Erg Chebbi – Palm Grove

After breakfast, dedicate the day to discovering the Merzouga desert and the Erg Chebbi dunes. The region offers diverse scenery including sand dunes, a seasonal lake, fossil sites, small mines, and green oases, perfect for light exploration.

Begin with an off-road drive to visit an old kohl mine, then continue to meet nomadic families living in traditional tents, where you will learn about their lifestyle while enjoying a cup of Berber tea. Next, head to Khamlia village to experience Gnaoua music and dance, performed by locals with ancestral roots in sub-Saharan Africa. Enjoy free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, take a walk through the palm grove and visit the wild lake of Merzouga, often referred to as the flamingo lake. Later, switch to camels and cross the dunes of Erg Chebbi, stopping to admire the sunset from a high dune before continuing to your desert camp. In the evening, enjoy traditional Berber drumming around the campfire under a star-filled sky. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast, leave the desert and travel to Rissani, the historic capital of Tafilalet and an important trading center known for its lively souk, especially on market days (Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday).

After exploring the souk, continue to Erfoud, where you will visit a workshop specializing in fossilized marble. Then drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the spectacular Todra Gorges. The Todra River has carved a dramatic canyon with high red cliffs, making it a popular destination for rock climbers and nature lovers. Take time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the scenery, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue toward the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades. Along the way, stop to see the unique “monkey fingers” rock formations and enjoy panoramic views overlooking the valley. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

On the final day, travel to Kalaa Mgouna to explore the Rose Valley, known for its annual Rose Festival held in May, where locals present a variety of rose-based products such as perfumes, oils, and cosmetics.

Continue through the palm groves of Skoura before arriving in Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the desert. Visit the film studios where many famous movies have been produced.

Next, visit the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a fortified village featured in films like Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as series such as Game of Thrones. After the visit, continue toward Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Stops will be made along the way for lunch and photos at scenic viewpoints.

Arrival in Marrakech in the evening, where you will be dropped off at the airport or your accommodation. End of the tour.
